Ponix + any FIRE Beast, Beast-Warrior or Winged Beast

Using a FIRE Beast, Beast-Warrior or Winged Beast (in short, any Fire King monster) as the second card in your combos allows you to add multiple layers of interruption alongside the board clear that Garunix Eternity, Hyang of the Fire Kings offers.

As such, the goal of this line is to set up the FK engine and end on a Promethean Princess, Bestower of Flames backed up by Fire King Avatar Arvata.

In the video below, we will use Little Chimera as a placeholder for any FIRE Beast, Beast-Warrior or Winged Beast. In real duels, this can be any card in your deck that fulfills these requirements.


This combo stops Nibiru, the Primal Being, as Arvata is the 5th summon.

Under Mulcharmy Fuwalos, your opponent draws 1 card.

Steps

  1. Normal Summon Legendary Fire King Ponix.
  2. Activate Ponix: add Fire King Sanctuary from your Deck to your hand.
  3. Activate Sanctuary: place Fire King Island in the Field Zone.
  4. Activate Island: destroy the FIRE Beast, Beast-Warrior or Winged Beast in your hand, then add Sacred Fire King Garunix from your Deck to your hand.
  5. Activate Sacred: Special Summon it from your hand.
  6. Activate Sacred again: destroy Fire King Avatar Arvata in your Deck.
  7. Activate Arvata: Special Summon a FIRE Beast, Beast-Warrior or Winged Beast from the GY.
  8. Link Summon Promethean Princess, Bestower of Flames.
  9. Activate Promethean Princess: Special Summon Arvata from the GY.

This combo is great when you're first learning Fire Kings, but depending on the second card, there might be other lines available that offer you certain advantages.
