Ulcanix + Arvata

This opening hand allows you to play under Droll & Lock Bird by trading access to Fire King Sanctuary; if that is not an issue, you can go for a full setup with a Salamangreat Sunlight Wolf recycle, while insulating your plays from Nibiru, the Primal Being.

Promethean Princess + Arvata setup (with High Kirin in GY)

This route uses a Fire King High Avatar Kirin to set up, which allows you to re-use it later by reviving and destroying it again during the opponent's turn.

Similarly to the Ulcanix + any FIRE Beast, Beast-Warrior or Winged Beast combo, this line skips Legendary Fire King Ponix and ends on Promethean Princess, Bestower of Flames plus Fire King Avatar Arvata.


This combo stops Nibiru, the Primal Being, as Arvata is the 5th summon.

Under Mulcharmy Fuwalos, your opponent draws 1 card.

Additionally, this combo plays through Droll & Lock Bird.

Steps

  1. Normal Summon Fire King Courtier Ulcanix.
  2. Activate Ulcanix: destroy Fire King Avatar Arvata, then add Sacred Fire King Garunix from your Deck to your hand.
  3. Activate Sacred: Special Summon it from your hand.
  4. Activate Sacred again: destroy Fire King High Avatar Kirin in your Deck.
  5. Activate High Kirin: Special Summon Arvata from the GY.
  6. Link Summon Promethean Princess, Bestower of Flames.
  7. Activate Promethean Princess: Special Summon Arvata from the GY.

In order to re-use High Kirin during the interruption sequence, use Arvata's effect to Special Summon it, then Sacred's effect to destroy it instead of destroying another copy from Deck. You then get to Special Summon another monster and destroy a card on the field, contributing to your card advantage.

Promethean Princess + Arvata setup (with Ulcanix & High Garunix in GY)

Alternatively, you can destroy a second copy of Fire King Courtier Ulcanix, improving your topdeck by removing both that copy and Fire King High Avatar Garunix from your Deck.

Just like the Ulcanix + Ulcanix combo, this line skips Legendary Fire King Ponix and ends on Promethean Princess, Bestower of Flames plus Fire King Avatar Arvata.

  6. Link Summon Promethean Princess, Bestower of Flames.
  7. Activate Promethean Princess: Special Summon Arvata from the GY.

Promethean Princess + Arvata setup (with High Kirin in your hand)

Last but not least, you can trade the Droll & Lock Bird safety for a full setup with Fire King Sanctuary, while remaining safe into Nibiru, the Primal Being.

Steps

  1. Normal Summon Fire King Courtier Ulcanix.
  2. Activate Ulcanix: destroy Fire King Avatar Arvata, then add Legendary Fire King Ponix from your Deck to your hand.
  3. Activate Ponix: Special Summon it from your hand.
  4. Activate Ponix again: add Fire King Sanctuary from your Deck to your hand.
  5. Activate Sanctuary: place Fire King Island in the Field Zone.
  6. Activate Island: destroy Ulcanix, then add Sacred Fire King Garunix from your Deck to your hand.
  7. A chain forms:
  8. Activate Sacred again: destroy Fire King High Avatar Kirin in your Deck.
  9. Activate High Kirin: Special Summon Arvata from the GY.
  10. Link Summon Salamangreat Sunlight Wolf using Sacred and High Garunix.
  11. Link Summon Relinquished Anima using Ponix, under Sunlight Wolf's link.
  12. Activate Sunlight Wolf: add High Kirin from the GY to your hand.
  13. Link Summon Promethean Princess, Bestower of Flames using Sunlight Wolf and Anima.

You can further extend this board by using Promethean Princess' effect, giving you multiple options:

  • Summon Sunlight Wolf under the other Extra Monster Zone, forcing opponents on Link decks to let you recover another card from the GY (or try to play around it).
  • Summon High Garunix (or Sacred, if you need it) for Garunix Eternity, Hyang of the Fire Kings material, or to setup a future board wipe.
  • Summon Ponix, which can be used by Arvata, High Kirin or Promethean Princess' effects, or can just be destroyed by Hyang so it returns to your hand next turn.
  • Summon any FIRE monster, then Link Summon Hiita the Fire Charmer, Ablaze using Promethean Princess and the summoned monster, thus setting up Promethean Princess in the GY while still keeping Arvata online.
